I feel like I know what to put on now and have more confidence knowing the shapes and colours really suit me. By just picking up a few really lovely items I feel like I can mix and match to always have something nice to wear. And things that will look good for years. It was also such a fun day with lots of giggles.

I had the great pleasure of meeting up with Jemma for a second time yesterday.I needed help with some transitional jackets and two years just before covid she had advised me very successfully on some pieces which I absolutely love wearing.
We met in Harvey Nichols and Jemma immediately seemed to get the gist of what I needed. She selected several items and I really could have bought them all……but it had to be narrowed down and with her expertise I chose three. I am absolutely delighted with them.
Jemma has so much fashion knowledge and knows not only what suits your colouring and shape but also seems to understand your personality too.
It was such a pleasurable and relaxing shopping experience I will certainly call her to help me again in the very near future. Thankyou so much Jemma for making it all so easy and fun too!

I was recommended Jemma by a friend to try and find an outfit for my daughter’s wedding. My brief was to try and find something fantastic but not a ‘traditional mother of the bride outfit.’ Having never used a stylist I was unsure what to expect. The minute I spoke to Jemma I felt confident this was going to be a great experience. Jemma had selected a number of dresses before I arrived (and I can honestly say I could have taken most of them home with me!) It was such fun trying them all on and Jemma was always honest, pointing out what colours/styles flattered me. Jemma is professional, skilled and  I came away with a stunning dress and absolutely loved the whole experience. I could highly recommend.

My colour and shape assessment with Jemma from the shoe loving stylist was an eye opening experience.
Not only was my skin tone, hair and eye colour taken in to account to decipher what clothing might suit me. So were my personality and likes and dislikes.
She gained insight from a set of questionnaires delivered ahead of our meeting.
Upon arrival we sat down and with a mirror in hand began placing different colour palettes below my face to see how that changed my complexion. Cold blues would  create circles under my eyes and tint my lips blue. The opposite occurred with warm autumnal colours, which made my cheeks look rosy and seem to rejuvenate my appearance.
Next for my body shape, she taught me how when we dress we do our best to create an optical illusion, someone with broad shoulders like myself should avoid puffy sleeves. I profit from a v neck cut to to take the attention away from my  broad back. Since I am high waisted, and my waist is nearly non existent, she recommended and empire cut or a cut that goes below my waist. Darker colours below  at and the waist, my warm autumn colour palette at above the waist. Culottes and skirts that flair out to create an hour glass figure visual effect, even if you have not been blessed with Marilyn Monroe’s genes.
No one is the wrong shape, how we choose to dress will enhance what attributes we have, is my new found knowledge.
She recorded the meeting, which is a gift for someone who is suffering with brain fog. A detailed report followed along with a colour card to carry when you shop with a handwritten note in lovely stationery.
I can’t recommend Jemma enough. I went from being a sceptic to a true believer.

I recently attended a colour and body shape analysis with Jemma, which I thoroughly enjoyed. She made me feel relaxed and extremely comfortable during the session.
It was fascinating to find out which colours suit me and the colour swatch is so useful! I also now know my exact body shape and what clothes styles suit me. It has completely changed the way I shop! I can simply order clothes online and so far so good. I haven’t had to return anything! I’ve also been able to sort out my wardrobe and clear out the clothes that don’t emphasise my body shape.

I had a fantastic shopping trip with Jemma and came away with a number of great pieces which work together brilliantly. She opened my eyes to styles I would not have previously tried. I now have a better idea of what suits and what to avoid. Her calm, supportive manner and attention to detail made it a joy.

I recently had a colour and body shape analysis with Jemma @theshoelovingstylist and despite initially being nervous, I was put at ease almost immediately by her big smile and her warm and happy nature.  We started with the colour analysis, which admittedly had me feeling way out of my comfort zone as I had no idea what a pinkish blue undertone meant! However Jemma was able to put it into layman’s terms for me and by the end of the analysis I was able to see what she meant and was excited to move on to the wardrobe edit.  Being honest I felt a bit anxious about showing a stylist my “high street” wardrobe for fear of being judged but Jemma was kind and honest and was able to highlight which items to keep and which to add to the charity pile. She was able to talk me though how to wear these items of clothing in a way to make them work for my body shape and also gave invaluable advise on what key items I should purchase to add to my wardrobe to help accentuate my body body shape further.
I had an absolute  blast and would highly recommend her services.

I would be lying to say I wasn’t apprehensive, what if Jemma said I couldn’t wear black?? What if I was going to have to replace my whole wardrobe- this could be expensive.
The moment Jemma arrived, she immediately put me at ease, explaining how the session would work. I had already completed the pre appointment questionnaire so Jemma knew in advance my personality traits and current wardrobe- black!
First the colour analysis- it really was amazing how you could see different colours accentuated my features and others drained all colour from my face. Jemma identified my ‘season’ and the colours within this that I should focus on and the shades of each colour.
We then moved onto the wardrobe. Jemma carefully selected pieces and asked me to try certain pieces together, which I must say I would have never put together before. As we tried more outfits I really started to enjoy myself and I became excited about the amount of new outfits I had from clothes already in my wardrobe. Jemma was able to tell when I was uncomfortable in outfits and made changes to ensure I was more confident in the clothes.
As the session carried on Jemma was able to identify some key pieces that were missing from my wardrobe and explained why and how these could fit with existing pieces.
Following the session Jemma provided me with a full detailed report with some suggestions of where I could purchase those key items identified, all within my price range!  She also supplied me with a colour wheel that I can now take out shopping to help me with moving away from those black tops!!!
I had a thoroughly enjoyable morning with Jemma and it has changed the way I shop and dress. I now look at clothes and consider other items to form an outfit that I would never have considered before. Thank you!

What an invaluable experience!  I have always wanted to get the help of a stylist to sort my clothes and explore my style and colours but never got around to it.  I wish I had done it years ago.  I now have a wardrobe I am excited about, by adding a few staple items and accessories I am wearing long forgotten pieces and things I didn’t realise would suit me.  I also can’t wait to shop as Jemma has introduced me to so many new brands that suit my shape and style.
The biggest eye opener were my colours, I used to go bold to accentuate which actually overpowered me, understanding the colours that work for me not only highlight my features but actually make me look younger!  I now have a pocket colour guide to take shopping which helps me focus and avoid random purchases I later regret.  I am also constantly referring to the style report, its packed with tips, brands and links to items that work for my long limbs which I previously struggled to dress.
Jemma has given me the confidence to explore my style, which impacts my confidence in business and life generally.  She is a fantastic stylist, not only is she incredibly stylish, she really took the time to understand my individual needs and wants and source items perfect for me.  She certainly goes the extra mile, turning up with dresses for me to try for my big birthday celebrations.  I shall certainly be tapping into her again, in fact I already have to style a recent photoshoot for my brand.  Thank you Jemma, you are an absolute gem!
 

Absolutely loved doing my colour analysis with Jemma. It was so much fun and lovely to do something for myself. Since doing it, I have had so many compliments on my new outfits as now I realize which colours and styles suit me and how to wear them. A truly wonderful gift for yourself or to treat someone. I was actually quite nervous about having a wardrobe edit, worrying about being judged for past, poor fashion choices, but as soon as Jemma walked in, I was put at ease. The experience was lovely and 3 hours just flew by! Jemma began by analysing my colours. I was really surprised by some of the colours that I should be wearing as a ‘typical autumn’ person! Knowing what colours suited me best, Jemma and I went through my wardrobe. She talked me through items of clothing that would best suit my body shape and colours that I should be avoiding. What was particularly helpful for me though, was Jemma talking me through how to style different items together and colour combinations that I had perhaps not considered before.
The report that Jemma sent through after our session is invaluable and something that I will be able t o refer to time and time again. It summarises things we’d talked about and will keep me focused on what to buy in the future. In it she also recommended several items to purchase, that would compliment existing items in my wardrobe. I loved them all! The experience is something that everyone should try if you’re lacking confidence in your wardrobe or need more of a focus for clothes buying. As a Pilates teacher and mum of 2, comfort is what I think of every morning. But following a great afternoon with Jemma for my wardrobe edit, I’ve realised that I can be comfortable and stylish out of my leggings and sweatshirts without much effort. I wanted to rediscover my wardrobe and find new outfits from existing clothes and she delivered this brief perfectly! I’m delighted to find I actually do have “something to wear” and actually it’s all very stylish and can be smartened up or dressed down accordingly. I have 3 inexpensive staples to add to it but otherwise I feel like I have a whole new wardrobe without spending any money. Thank you Jemma for giving me my fashion mojo back!

My personal shopping day with Jemma was fantastic. Jemma was very understanding of my needs and showed me a new and better way of shopping. I was not feeling confident about being an Autumn, but Jemma found some incredible pieces with my colours, beautiful prints and really flattering for my body shape, which made me feel great in them. I am now a happy autumn person and definitely very proud of my new purchases. Jemma was very lovely, friendly and professional throughout the whole experience and I will definitely recommend her.

Jemma made me feel at ease and filled me with confidence from choosing my colours from the winter range to finally selecting outfits for me.
She was professional and fun. She was sensitive to the information I had given her before in the questionnaire and gently took me out of my comfort zone for one of the outfits. Jemma had chosen a bright camellia Boden trouser suit. Neither Boden nor trouser suits are something I normally wear.
I have already worn it to a Cheltenham racing lunch and received a lot of flattering comments and I can’t wait to wear it again!
The other outfits chosen will be as successful I am sure, and it is so nice to have someone like Jemma to do all the hard work for you.

I recently had a style consultation with Jemma. I ideally wanted a full review in person however I was also quite impatient about wanting one soon so I could update my wardrobe for summer, so we decided to have a meeting on line due to lockdown.  We started off by looking at what season I was and which colours would suit me. We discussed my body shape and how to make the most of it. I showed Jemma my wardrobe (via my laptop) which is currently quite bare. Jemma suggested how to wear different items, different combinations of clothes I could wear together and some items that I don’t wear that I should recycle.
She then talked me through the sorts of clothes and colours that would suit my body.  Jemma was super friendly and easy to talk to, I felt totally relaxed and at ease with her.  At the end of the session she went away and sent me links of key items to add to my wardrobe which would not only suit me but complement other items I already had. I bought nearly all of them!
It was a really enjoyable experience,  I don’t have a lot of time to go shopping or a lot of confidence to know what suits me so this really helped me know what to look for in future.  Thanks so much Jemma!
